9/30/2026 11:32:00 AM | Men's Basketball
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2026-27 American Conference schedule for the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team has been revealed, as announced by the league on Wednesday morning.
"The American Conference is set to be extremely competitive again this season, from top to bottom, and we look forward to showing what we are capable of," said Head Coach John Jakus. "We fully expect each night of conference play to be a battle. We will have to work hard to defend Paradise, where every game is priceless. And we'll work just as hard to be successful at all of the tough environments on the road."
Tipoff times for the 18-game slate – nine on the road and nine on Abessinio Court at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena – will be announced at a later date. The campaign tips off at home on New Year's Eve, when the Owls welcome Charlotte to the Elly on Thursday, Dec. 31. Two road matchups follow, at Tulsa on Jan. 3 and at North Texas on Jan.6.
The Owls host Memphis in Boca Raton, on Sunday, Jan. 10, and after a midweek matchup at UAB (Jan. 14), it is back-to-back home contests: Tulsa (Jan. 20) and Rice (Jan. 23).
East Carolina on the road is next (Jan. 28), then South Florida comes to Boca to close out January (Jan. 31), followed by a road trip to San Antonio to take on UTSA (Feb. 4).
Two home matchups – Wichita State (Feb. 7) and Temple (Feb. 10) – precede two straight on the road, at Tulane on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) and at Charlotte (Feb. 17).
February wraps with a home game against North Texas (Feb. 21) and a trip to Houston to tangle with the Owls of Rice (Feb. 28). The final two league showdowns take place the first week of March: on Thursday, March 4 at South Florida, and the regular season finale at home versus UAB (March 7).
The 2027 American Men's Basketball Championship will be hosted by the conference and USF at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, March 10 through March 14.
