KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – (Feb. 19, 2020) – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team got the weekend started on a high note at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships. FAU currently sits in second place with 110 points, just nine shy behind first-place Incarnate Word.
- The 200 medley relay team was the first of two relay races that took place on the first night. Kyle Douglas, Quinn LaCoursiere, Skyler Hamilton and Jack Neeley captured fifth place (1:31.85)
- Logan Downey brought home the hardware in the 1-meter with a first-place finish. His score of 381.55 also marked a new lifetime best for the junior. Charlie Greene followed in fourth with a huge lifetime best (258.15) followed by Michael Cannatelli in sixth place (213.15)
- The 800 free relay squad of Rateb Hussein, Connor Smoak, Clay Riemenschneider and Josh Fountain ended the night on a high note with a silver finish (6:33.45). Fountain anchored the event and tallied a 1:36.93 split to help his team secure a podium finish
- In the 100 IM time trial, Douglas recorded a lifetime best time of 51.41, which marks a new FAU school and freshman record
