Final Results
Boston – The Florida Atlantic University women's track & field team concluded their second of two meets in Boston at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University on Saturday. The day was highlighted by the 4x400 relay team of
Jessica Lambert,
Lyric Schmalz,
Roshelle Francois and
Anne-Catherine Wasser who finished in 3:47.20 to break a 12-year-old school record.
- The night ended on a high note, as the 4x400 relay team broke a school record last accomplished on Feb. 24, 2008. Lambert, Schmalz, Francois and Wasser finished in 3:47.20 to come up with the proverbial bronze
- Schmalz finished third in the 60m hurdle preliminaries with a time of 8.82 to advance to finals. She finished finals in seventh (9.12)
- Cara Simpson started out the day with sixth place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.86 to advance to finals. The sophomore finished eighth in the finals at 7.96
- Wasser tallied eighth in the 400m dash with a personal record time of 56.12, which became the fourth fastest time in school history. She also gathered another personal record in the 200m dash at 25.29 to earn 17th place
- Madlen Kappeler finished the 3000m run in 9:59.01 for a new personal record and 15th place. Her time also became the fourth fastest in school history. Lauren Macon finished in 25th with a personal record of 10:27.66
- Francois came in 15th in the 400m dash (57.15), while Searra Woods followed in 22nd (58.75)
- Mikaela Jonsson captured 16th in the 800m run with a time of 2:14.68, while Brooke Butterfield tallied 25th (2:18.17)
