BOCA RATON, Fla. – FAUSports.com is proud to update our fans on the exploits of all of the former Owls who are lacing their cleats up each week in the NFL. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the fifth week of the 2020 NFL season:

Active Owls (10) #51 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | San Francisco 49ers
- Matched his season high of 23 special teams snaps, for 74%, on Sunday. The 49ers fell to Miami, 43-17. 49ers' Record: 2-3 Next game: vs. Los Angeles Rams – Sunday Night Football, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)
#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Had his first career game without a catch, though the Browns improved to 4-1 with a 32-23 win over the Colts. Was in on 29 offensive snaps (40%) and nearly half of the special teams opportunities (13 of 28, 46%). Browns' record: 4-1 Next game: at Pittsburgh (and Pierre) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | New Orleans Saints
- Posted 1 1/2 sacks among his two tackles, and among three quarterback hits. Also recorded season highs in total defensive snaps – 50 – and with a percentage of 70% (and played five more snaps on special teams), with the Saints moving above .500 with a 30-27 win over the Chargers. Hendrickson currently ranks fifth in the NFL with 4.5 sacks on the season. Saints' record: 3-2 Next game: After their scheduled bye week this Sunday, New Orleans will host Carolina on Oct. 25
#38 Buddy Howell | RB | Houston Texans
- Was inactive due to a hamstring injury as the Texans picked up their first win of the season, 30-14 over Jacksonville. Texans' record: 1-4 Next game: at Tennessee – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#34 Cre'von LeBlanc | CB | Philadelphia Eagles
- Had two tackles, and also recovered a fumble – with a return of six yards – among his 30 defensive snaps (plus another five on special teams). Eagles fell to the Steelers, 38-29. Eagles' record: 1-3-1 Next game: vs. Baltimore – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#41 Sharrod Neasman | S | Atlanta Falcons
- Made a special teams tackle, his third straight game with a stop, though the Falcons lost to the Panthers, 23-16. Neasman played 81% of the Falcons' possible special teams snaps (21 of 26). Falcons' record: 0-5 Next game: at Minnesota – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
#42 James Pierre | DB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Made his first career tackle, on special teams, as Pittsburgh remained undefeated with a 38-29 win over Philadelphia. Pierre reached double digit special teams snaps for the second time this year, 10 of 26. Steelers' record: 4-0 Next game: vs. Cleveland (and Bryant) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | Buffalo Bills
- In just the third Tuesday game in NFL history, Singletary was held to 25 yards on 11 carries, plus just a reception for eight yards. The Bills suffered their first loss of the season, 42-16 to Tennessee. Bills' record: 4-1 Next game: vs. Kansas City – first of two Monday Night Football games, 5 p.m. (FOX/NFL Network)
#53 Rashad Smith | LB | Dallas Cowboys
- Smith was inactive, though the Cowboys overcame the New York Giants late, 37-34. Cowboys' record: 2-3 Next game: vs. Arizona – second of two Monday Night Football games, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)
#57 Adarius Taylor | LB | Carolina Panthers
- Taylor helped run the Panthers' win streak to three in a row, with two tackles in the team's 23-16 win over Atlanta. One stop came on special teams (among a season-high 65% of ST snaps, 17 of 26); the other at linebacker, as part of a season high nine defensive snaps. Panthers' record: 3-2 Next game: vs. Chicago – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
