GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team fell in the squad's matchup with Florida, as they were shut out by the No. 1 Gators on Saturday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

Notables:

UF (2-0) took the doubles point over the Owls (1-2) due to wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 slots
That ended the No. 2 match early, which at that point was a close 4-3 encounter for the combination of Filip Krolo and Gerard Escandell
The Gators, with five ranked players, would go on to take each singles match. Both Yovan Lambros and Escandell each nearly forced a third set, but fell by the same set scores of 6-3, 6-4. Similarly, Alvaro Fernandez Horta threatened to take it to a third as well, but also fell prey to a 6-4 second set
