Men's Soccer Falls to #21 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (2-3-0, 0-2-0) fell to No. 21 Kentucky (3-1-2) on the road, 3-0, on Saturday night. The Owls will return home on Wednesday to host (RV) FGCU.
The Owls were able to press Kentucky early in the game, creating chances in the first half. FAU outshot the Wildcats, 3-2, in the first half but a goal in the 17th minute by Kentucky proved to be the difference maker. Kentucky scored two more times late in the game.
Overall, FAU and Kentucky both had 11 shots in the game. Alex Alexis and Ivan Mykhailenko led the owls with three shots in the match. Edgardo Obregon added two shots and Alonso Coello Camarero, Tom Abrahamsson and Axel Pantaleon each had a shot.
The Owls return home on Wednesday to host FGCU. That match is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff and admission is free.
