FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer (3-1-6) and Florida Gulf Coast (4-5-3) played to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night. Both teams scored inside the final five minutes in a chaotic finish.
It took 86 minutes before FGCU broke the deadlock off a corner kick. The Owls didn't quit, however, and with less than a minute to go, they found the equalizer.
Kevin Gorbell sent a cross into the six-yard box, and the ball ricocheted around until
Enzo Rabot came crashing in. The defender blasted home his first career goal to send the Owls home with a draw.
Alfred Mikkelsen finished with four saves in goal for Florida Atlantic, three of which came in the second half. Both teams recorded 16 shot attempts.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Owls head to DeLand, Florida, to face Stetson in another non-conference showdown next Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
