CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team finished the weekend's Conference USA pod in Charlotte with a 2-1 record after falling Sunday to Middle Tennessee.
Notables:
- Middle Tennessee (15-10, 4-1 C-USA) edged out the doubles point. The top slot was a 7-6 Blue Raider decision as Court No. 2, featuring Mehdi Laalej and Gabriel Sidney, was tied 6-6
- Down 2-0, Laalej halved the deficit for FAU (17-9, 3-1 C-USA) at No. 3 singles, winning his match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3
- That win means the grad student finishes the regular season with a record of 19-2 in singles in the dual match season
- MT closed it out at No. 5 and No. 4 the latter in three sets
