BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tuesday night starts a stretch of five road games in a row for the No. 27 Florida Atlantic University baseball team, with a midweek trek to Orlando to take on UCF at 6 p.m.
Owls' Weekend in Review
For the first time in conference play, and for only the second time this year, the Owls (24-11) were overcome in a weekend series, losing the first two to Louisiana Tech this weekend before taking the Sunday finale win. Still, the team sits atop the league standings, a game better than 11-4 Southern Miss and two games ahead of 10-5 LA Tech.
Owls' Midweek in Preview
UCF (22-14) fell to 4-8 in the American Athletic Conference after Cincinnati took two of three from them last weekend. The Owls swept the Bearcats in the opening weekend of the series in mid-February. A trio of Knights – Tyler Osik (seven), Ray Alejo (six) and Dallas Beaver (six) – have combined for over half of the team's 30 home runs. Osik is batting .343 and Alejo .338, while Beaver leads the way with 34 RBI, four more than Osik.

Opponent History
Tuesday will be the 78th meeting all-time between the schools, with UCF holding a 43-34 series lead. Since Coach McCormack took over, it's a 9-7 Owl advantage, including six wins in the last eight games. Last year, the teams split, with UCF winning 2-1 in 10 innings in Orlando, and FAU avenging that with an 11-8 victory at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
