Coaching Clinic Follows FAU’s First Spring Saturday Football Practice

Florida Atlantic University's football got to sleep in a little bit on Saturday with the field workout beginning at 11:30, a time that the Owls are normally wrapping up their weekday practices.

From beginning to end, the practice fields were lined with players' families and South Florida coaches who participated in a coaches' clinic immediately following the practice.

"I thought it was a really good day three after not necessarily a great day two," said Lane Kiffin, FAU's head football coach. "A lot of times (on) Saturday for whatever reason, when you put on shoulder pads things pickup. Guys were very physical today, which was good to see. I thought we look good in a lot of areas today. Different than day two."

The team will return to the field this Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. While practices are closed to the general public, media members wishing to cover practice are asked to meet in the Tom Oxley Center lobby at 9:15 a.m. and then will be escorted on to the practice field at the proper time. The 2019 Pro Day will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in FAU Stadium. The event is closed to the public. Credentialed media members must report to the Stadium's sixth floor for access. The 2019 Spring Game is schedule for Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. in the FAU Stadium.
