AUBURN, Ala. – Malvina Catalano had impressive performances on the boards these past two days at the Zone B Diving Championships held in Auburn, Alabama. Although Catalano fell short of punching a ticket to finals, she was less than five people shy of moving on in each event. Over the two days, she was able to beat divers from the likes of Florida, Duke, FIU and Georgia in her first time competing at zones, a meet where you must achieve a minimum score of 265 in the 1-meter and 280 in the 3-meter during the season to qualify.

Notables:
- In the 1-meter prelims, Catalano took 21st with a score of 243 and was five spots away from moving on to the finals on Tuesday
- Catalano scored 268.35 in the 3-meter prelims to capture 20th place. She was just four people shy of moving on, as the top 16 advanced to finals to fight for one of eight spots at the NCAA Championships
