Owls' Weekend in Review
The Owls (3-4) lost the weekend set to Illinois despite having the tying run at the plate in the team's final at-bat, in each of the three games. Sunday, in particular, saw two Owl comebacks, from down 5-0 and 9-5. A season-high 10 runs on 14 hits were just short of the Illini in the 11-10, 10-inning loss. Andru Summerall hit .455 for the series with a team-best four RBI, and is at .370 for the year. Francisco Urbaez was just behind him at .417 versus Illinois, and has a team-high season average of .389.

Owls' Midweek in Preview
North Florida (5-3) split a four-game set against Fordham. That was after defeating then-No. 3 Florida on the road the previous Wednesday night, 7-1. Of those starting more than half the Ospreys' games, their leading hitter is Tanner Murphy at .394, followed by Wes Weeks (.382) and Jay Prather (.367). At .364 over the team's last four games, with two home runs, Murphy was chosen as ASUN Player of the Week on Monday. He also scored seven runs and had four stolen bases.
Â
Midweek Probable Starting Pitchers
The Owls took both games against the Ospreys a season ago, in Boca Raton, by scores of 14-1 and 10-9. In fact, FAU has won the last six games in the series, and holds a 7-2 all-time advantage. The last UNF win came on March 26, 2006, in the finale of the first-ever three-game set between the two teams, 13-3 in Jacksonville.
