Men’s Swimming & Diving Remain in Second After Day Three of CCSA Championships

Lynchburg, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team sit in second-place with 532.5 points following three days of competition at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships. Incarnate Word remains ahead of the Owls with 709.5 points and Old Dominion sits in third with 477 points. The Owls sent two swimmers and divers to the podium and 11 different athletes captured lifetime best times on Friday.

Notables:
- Calvin Lillo recorded a silver medal and a new lifetime best time in the 400-yard IM after his 3:58.31 finish. Will Smith (4:03.57) and Jack Shapiro (4:04.45) finished eighth and ninth in the race
- Logan Downey captured a lifetime best score in the 1-meter diving event with 364.45 to claim the gold medal. Michael Cannatelli finished fourth in the event with a lifetime best score (265.35)
- Colin Kozak took a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with 1:40.76 and was just edged out of making the podium for the second time this weekend. Connor Smoak finished fifth with 1:40.91
- Phillip Crouch touched the wall sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke final to claim a personal-best time (55.99)
- Three Owls rounded out the top 10 in the 100-yard backstroke final with Braedan Leach in fourth (50.09), Alex Taber in fifth with a lifetime best time (50.10) and Reilly Maguire in eighth (50.63)
- The 400-yard medley relay team of Leach, Crouch, Skyler Hamilton and Kozak finished in fourth place (3:20.56)
