Day 2 Results
Lynchburg, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team rounded out day two of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships in second place with 276 points. Incarnate Word is still leading the way with 342 points and Gardner-Webb trails FAU with 256.5 points. FAU continued to rack up the medal count after accumulating one gold and two bronze medals on Thursday night.
Notables:
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Colin Kozak, Jack Neeley, Reilly Maguire and Connor Smoak finished in fourth (1:22.73)
- Josh Fountain was golden on Thursday night, claiming first in the 500-yard freestyle with a lifetime best time of 4:26.93. Will Smith captured the bronze medal with another personal best time (4:30.92)
- Jack Shapiro and Connor Hodges cracked the top 10 in the 500 freestyle, with Shapiro capturing fifth (4:34.40) and Hodges claiming ninth (4:39.16)
- Calvin Lillo performed a top-10 finish in the 200-yard IM, as he finished ninth (1:52.29)
- Senior Kozak ended the night on a high note, capturing the bronze medal and an LTB in the 50-yard freestyle (20.58). Smoak captured sixth with a personal best of 21.18
