Post Practice Player's Perspective
B.J. Etienne on what he likes about the move from left guard to right tackle:
"It is something new. It is just adding another thing to my arsenal. It is new, fun, different. I'm going out there and learning new things."
On Marshall, who had eight sacks a week ago:
"Marshall is real good. You can't get sacked running the ball so we have to run the ball well and that will open everything up."
John Mitchell on a Friday night game. Does it take you back to high school?
"I never really thought of it that way, but it is cool now that you said it."
What do you have to do to dent this defense and do damage to it?
"Revert back to your training. Don't try to get outside of your head and think that you have to do something special. They are another opponent. They are respectable, but they are another opponent, so you have to treat it as such."
Do you think the offense is in a good place right now?
"I do, all around. The wide receivers are firing on all cylinders. Of course, there is more work to be done. I feel like we are doing a lot better than some people might have expected at the beginning of the season. I feel like we have some solid young running backs. I feel like our line is doing what they are supposed to do and I feel like our quarterback is definitely doing what he is supposed to do. Tight ends of course are weapons, always. What more do you need?"
Desmond Noel on how it felt to get a start:
"For me coming in so late in the season, out on the field I felt great, to be honest. Just getting out there and playing. Obviously, I play really hard. But at the end of the day I felt like I will never be satisfied with how I played. I want to put people on their backs every play. That is what I want to do. I will keep progressing, for sure, every day. That is my goal, every day at practice."
Yrvens Guerrier "I thought I'd never play football again," said Parker, whose jaw was wired shut for six months after the collision. "But both [FAU assistant coach] Fred O'Connor and my father basically told me if I work hard at it, I could get back on the field."
