Volleyball Opens C-USA Play Against UAB

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team opens its Conference USA slate this Sunday at home versus UAB.

Last Week: The Owls (9-3) swept all three of their opponents at the Owls Classic last weekend. FAU has won its last nine matches in a row, its longest winning streak since 2005. Massiel Matos and Sigourney Kame were named to the All-Tournament Team, while Ivone Martinez won Tournament MVP.

History: FAU leads the all-time series with the Blazers, 4-1. The Owls swept last year's meeting in Birmingham. Sydney Nemtuda had a match-high 14 kills in the win.
