Singletary Named to Doak Walker Award Watch List

Florida Atlantic University's Devin Singletary has been named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List.
Singletary, who is one of 62 members on the Watch List and one of four from Conference USA, was named the C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
The 2017 AP All-American ended last season as C-USA's MVP after he tallied 33 touchdowns, 32 of which came on the ground, led the country in scoring and became just the third player in FBS history to rush for more than 30 touchdowns in a single season.
The award was established in 1989 to to recognize the nation's premier running back for his accomplishments on the field, achievement in the classroom and citizenship in the community.
The Owls will report to campus for preseason drills Thursday, Aug. 2. FAU will open the 2018 season at Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 1 at noon. The game will be carried on Fox.
