Beach Volleyball Ranked No. 16 in AVCA Preseason Poll

BOCA RATON, Fla. -Coming off of a 21-12 record in 2017, the Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team is ranked 16^th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) preseason poll, which was released Monday.

The Sandy Owls had an 18-match winning streak, including four wins over nationally-ranked opponents. FAU advanced to the semifinals of the CCSA tournament and sent a team to the National Pairs Championship in Hermosa Beach, California.

Head Coach Capri Grotowski returns nine starters from last season and added a stellar recruiting class.

The Owls open their 2018 season at the Stetson Spring Fling on Friday. Live stats of the weekend's matches will be available at fausports.com.
