No. 15 Sandy Owls Wrap Regular Season at Alki Beach Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 15-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will wrap up regular season play this weekend, competing in the Alki Beach Invitational in Seattle on Friday & Saturday, April 17-18.

Along with the Sandy Owls (17-11), the tournament field features Oregon (15-14), Portland (4-17), Boise State (15-13), and host No. 19 Washington (16-11).

Friday, April 10
2:15 p.m. ET – vs. Oregon | Live Scoring
6 p.m. ET – at No. 19 Washington | Live Scoring

Saturday, April 11
1 p.m. ET – vs. Portland | Live Scoring
4:45 p.m. ET – vs. Boise State | Live Scoring

The Owls will kick off play on Friday against Oregon at 2:15 p.m. ET. The meeting will mark the first between FAU and Oregon. Florida Atlantic wraps up day one with a 6 p.m. ET first serve against host, No. 19 Washington. The Owls are 1-0 all-time against Washington, earning a 3-2 win on Feb. 21, 2025, in the only meeting between the Owls and the Huskies during the 2025 season.

FAU opens day two at 1 p.m. ET against Portland in its first meeting against the Pilots. The Owls will cap off the regular season with a 4:45 p.m. first serve against Boise State. FAU boasts a perfect 2-0 record against the Broncos, including a 4-1 victory earlier this season on Feb. 20.

UP NEXT
Following this weekend's Alki Beach Invitational, the Sandy Owls will begin postseason prep as they get set to open up the CUSA Championship on Thursday, April 23, at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana.
