Track & Field Announces Indoor and Outdoor Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track and field team has unveiled its 2019 slate for the indoor and outdoor seasons on Thursday.
"We are excited about the 2019 schedule and we're ready for the season to begin," said associate head coach Willie Randolph. "This season's schedule will provide our team with multiple opportunities to compete against some of the best teams in our conference, region and nation."
The indoor season consists of five events spanning from January to February plus the Conference USA Championship. The outdoor portion will feature six events from March to April and the C-USA Championship in May.
The Owls get things started with back-to-back meets in Birmingham, Alabama on Jan. 11 and 12. FAU will take part in the Blazer Invite on the first day and the Vulvan Invite on the following day. The Owls will then travel to Columbia, South Carolina to participate in the Gamecock Inaugural Indoor Invite on Jan. 18 and 19.
The regular indoor season wraps up in Boston for the Owls. On Feb. 1, FAU will be in the Harvard White and Crimson Invite and then will run in the Bruce Lehane Memorial Invite the following day.
The indoor C-USA Championship and the NCAA Championships will both take place in Birmingham. The conference meet will be Feb. 16-17 and the NCAA meet will be March 8-9.
Outdoor season gets underway at the Hurricane Invite in Miami on March 15-16. The Owls will stay in the Sunshine State for the remainder of the regular season starting with the UCF Knights Invite in Orlando on March 22 and 23.
The team will split at the end of March with the majority of the team competing at the UF Relays March 28-30, and select distance runners will participate in the Embry Riddle meet in Daytona Beach on March 29.
FAU will travel back down to Miami for the Miami Alumni Invite on April 12 and 13. The Owls will close out the regular season at the Tom Jones Invite in Gainesville April 26-27.
The outdoor C-USA Championships will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina May 9-12. The first round of the NCAA Championship will be in Jacksonville and the finals will take place in Austin, Texas.
