The Start
Behind some early success on the glass, the Eagles (3-0) took a 19-10 lead less than nine minutes into the game. An 18-6 FAU run over the next seven and a half minutes put the Owls ahead 28-25 at the 3:39 mark of the first half. A GSU bucket just before the halftime buzzer trimmed the lead to one, 35-34, at the half.
The Turning Point
The Eagles held a modest three-point lead, 48-45, with 12 minutes to go when they doubled up the Owls 18-9 to increase their advantage to 66-54 with 7:28 left in the game.
