BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team heads to the Bahamas for this weekend's Islands of the Bahamas Showcase. FAU will begin action on Friday against Georgia Southern at 5 p.m. A win in Friday's game would give the Owls their first 3-0 start in program history.

- The Owls rallied from a 20-point first half deficit to defeat UCF 80-79 in Orlando. Simeon Lepichev scored the game-winning bucket with 0.8 seconds left
- Anthony Adger led the Owls with 19 points, Jailyn Ingram scored 12 and Karlis Silins had 11.
- Graduate forward Xavian Stapleton had his first double-double as an Owl with 14 points and 10 rebounds
