Alijah Martin Signs Multi-Year NBA Deal with Raptors

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's basketball alum Alijah Martin has signed a multi-year contract with the Toronto Raptors ahead of the 2026-27 season. The deal lasts two years and is worth $4.8 million.
Martin becomes the first Florida Atlantic basketball player in program history to sign a standard NBA contract. This follows him becoming the first alum selected in an NBA Draft a year ago.
During his four-year career with the Owls, Martin (2020-24) finished as Florida Atlantic's sixth highest scorer in program history with 1,476 points. A three-time All-Conference honoree, he was also named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2023 CUSA Championship after scoring 30 points and collecting 11 rebounds. The Owls won the title and earned their first bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2002.
In 2023, Florida Atlantic made it to the Final Four, where Martin led the way with 26 points and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team. As part of the 2023-24 campaign, Martin won the MVP in the ESPN Events Invitational and averaged 13.1 points per game throughout the season on the way to a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
On a two-way deal in his rookie campaign and splitting time between the Raptors and their G-League affiliate Raptors 905, Martin saw action in 23 NBA games, scoring 51 total points while hauling in 21 rebounds and dishing out 12 assists. He earned All-NBA G League Third Team honors, All-Rookie G League, and was a member of the G League Showcase team at the 2026 NBA All Star Weekend.
Martin is currently playing on the Raptors' Summer League roster, taking place in Las Vegas from July 9 to 19. He is joined professionally by his former Owl teammates Vladislav Goldin (two-way contract with the Miami Heat), Nick Boyd (Exhibit 10 deal with the Golden State Warriors), Johnell Davis (Summer league invite with the Orlando Magic), and Tre Carroll (Summer league invite with the Washington Wizards).
