Florida Atlantic University's football team (5-5, 3-3 Conference USA) will play the program's first Thursday night road game in program history when the Owls travel to Denton, Texas to play North Texas (7-3, 3-3 C-USA) Thursday at 9:30 p.m. EST. The game will air exclusively on CBS Sports Network.
 The Series
FAU leads the series, one of the longer in the Owls' history, 8-4. FAU won the first six meetings, but fell the next four. The two teams met twice in 2017 with FAU winning both, including the C-USA Championship game.

Head Coach Lane Kiffin will join ESPN West Palm 106.3's Ken LaVicka from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday to tape a show that will air Thursday from 6-7 p.m. The show originates, Tuesday, from the Biergarten Boca Raton, 309 Via De Palmas #90, Boca Raton, Fla. 33432, and will air Thursday on ESPN West Palm 106.3 and on the ESPN App.

For the third consecutive year, FAU's Frank Forte hosts the weekly show "Inside the Owls Burrow." The show is broadcasted on Fox Sports Florida, will first air at 4 p.m. Thursday. This week's show features Coach Kiffin's recap of the WKU victory and a look ahead to this week's game at North Texas. Defensive back Quran Hafiz will be the focus in this week's "Pads Off" and Forte also will feature Ernie Sims, a former FSU star and first round draft pick of the Detroit Lions and FAU's assistant strength and conditioning coach. The final segment will be off the gridiron: Linebacker and avid surfer Chase Lasater recently visited the Surfing Florida Museum in West Palm Beach where had a chance to learn more about boards and the Florida history of the sport.
