Swimming and Diving Prepare for Full Weekend Ahead

BOCA RATON, Fla. –The Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving team will contend in two meets across Friday and Saturday. Kicking off the weekend, the Owls will host Florida Gulf Coast University, Princeton University and Boston College. This is the second home meet of the season for the Owls with races beginning at 3:30 p.m. at FAU Aquatic Center.

On Saturday, the team will travel south to Coral Gables, Florida, to face the University of Miami and Boston College. Competition will commence at 9:30 a.m. at the Whitten University Center Swimming Pool.

There have been many swimmers and divers who have recorded seasonal and personal best times over the first month of the 2018-19 season. The team is hoping to build upon that success as the season progresses.

Meet Format
Friday, Nov. 2 @ 3:30 p.m. – FAU vs. FGCU (women only)/Boston College (men only)/Princeton University
There will be two heats in each event and one for the 1650-yard freestyle. The meet will feature 16 events with the women's scores counting against Princeton and FGCU and the men's scores going toward their team total against Princeton and BC.
Saturday, Nov. 3 @ 9:30 a.m. – FAU @ Miami/Boston College
The scores will count for the Owl women, as they will face Miami and BC, while the men will face BC twice in a weekend without their scores counting on Saturday. There will be two heats for each event on the women's side and just one heat of each for the men. The lineup features 13 different events.
After This
FAU will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 10, as the team will be welcoming home many members of the Owl clan for the Alumni & Family Meet. The meet will initiate at 11 a.m. and will be held at FAU Aquatic Center.
