Television Shows Featuring FAU Football Scheduled

BOCA RATON, Fla. - With Florida Atlantic University football's season opener just around the corner, fans will soon have the opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of the squad in two different ways: FAU Countdown to Kickoff, which will air on WPTV, and Inside the Owl's Burrow, on Fox Sports Florida.
Countdown to Kickoff will air on WPTV, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26. It is a 30-minute-long special with ESPN West Palm Beach hosts Paxton Boyd and Keli Ferguson. After the airing, the show will be posted online. The Aug. 26 program will feature an interview with Head Coach Lane Kiffin as well as player segments showcasing Antonyo Woods and Azeez Al-Shaair.
Inside the Owl's Burrow will be a weekly half-hour program on Fox Sports Florida, airing each Thursday at 4 p.m., beginning on Aug. 31. Longtime South Florida broadcaster Frank Forte will be the host, and the show will reair on Fox Sports Florida each week. The repeat viewing of the Aug. 31 premiere will be on Friday, Sept. 1 at 5:30 p.m. Generally, the second viewings will take place on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. (unless the Owls play on the Friday night of a particular week). Each week will include a sit-down with Kiffin and interviews with assistant coaches as well as with players in a "Pads Off" interview. Also, beginning with the Sept. 7 show, there will be a "Where Are They Now" segment with a member of the 2007 conference champion Owls.
The football team begins the 2017 campaign at home on Sept. 1, hosting Navy at 8 p.m. at FAU Stadium. For season tickets, call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
