Florida Atlantic University's football program took its next step towards the 2016 season with a two hour morning practice on the Tom Oxley Practice Fields while the outgoing seniors participated in the 2016 Pro Day held at FAU Stadium on Howard Schnellenberger Field.
At Pro Day, the Owls had 11 players participate before 33 scouts, who represented 25 NFL teams and one Canadian team.
At the Oxley Center, the Owls completed their normal Thursday practice.

- "We have slowed down and backed off a lot so that we can make sure we understand the foundation and the fundamentals. We are going to make sure we have a good solid foundation going into fall camp and they understand the standard of how each play (needs to be run). We are not going to move on until we get what we have down."
Highlights
- Kalib Woods had a 7 yard and a 20 yard reception during team drills. The 20-yard catch put the Owls offense at the 1.
- Greg Howell recorded a run that moved the chains and followed up with a 20-yard reception.
- Daniel Parr hit receiver Bobby Mitchell on an out route for a first down.
- The running game got some work with Camden Krohn recording an 8-yard run and Michael Francis adding a 10-yard run.
- Jason Driskel had a 15-yard pass to Tyler Cameron for a score. While Parr added a 25-yard TD pass just a few plays later.
