The Florida Atlantic University baseball team opens its second season in Conference USA with a three-game series at Charlotte starting with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. Friday's contest was pushed back to Saturday due to rain in the area.
The Owls (15-3) have won nine of their last ten contests, all at home. Charlotte (4-6) is looking to snap a four game losing streak, dating back to March 6, and lost all three games against Rice in its opening weekend of league play.
Kyle Miller, Drew Jackson and Robbie Coursel will continue to be the starting pitching rotation for the FAU staff that boasts a 2.80 ERA with 137 strikeouts and just 44 walks. Brendon Sanger and Ricky Santiago anchor an offense that has outscored opponents 138-71 on the year with 54 extra-base hits.
FAU won two of the three games against Charlotte in Boca Raton last season.
A free live audio feed will be provided via YouTube with FAU's Brandon Goodwin calling the action from Charlotte.
