FAU Baseball Opens Spring Practice

BOCA RATON, Fla.- With the start of the 2014 season just a few weeks away, the Florida Atlantic University baseball team held its first official day of practice on Friday at the FAU Baseball Stadium.

The Owls held an intrasquad scrimmage between players battling for a starting spot in this year's lineup. FAU returns five starters from its outstanding 2013 squad that won 42 games and advanced to the title game in the NCAA Regionals.

FAU opens its season on Feb. 15 with a doubleheader against Notre Dame in Boca Raton. First pitches are slated for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the FAU Baseball Stadium. For ticket information, visit FAUSports.com or call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
