Houston, TX - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team placed seventh in the Houston Baptist Invitational, a 54-hole event concluding on Tuesday. The team compiled a 903 score during the tournament.
Junior Clint Wilhelm led the Owls for the second straight event, posting a 222 composite score on the par-71, 6,931-yard Quail Valley golf course. He shot an even-par 71 in the first round and finished tied for 18th.
Senior Michael Baskovich improved his score during each of the three rounds to finish with a 225 score, highlighted by a one-over-par 72 during Tuesday's final round. Freshman Andrew Mangini shot career-best rounds of 74 in the first and final rounds. Senior Justin Thompson rounded out the team's performers with a 37th-place finish after posting a 230 combined score.
The Owls will wrap up the fall season by playing in the Stetson Invitational on November 7.
