- I'm here to confess. When people talk about college, the late nights, being tired and meeting friends for life I think they are talking about me. However, it is studying until all hours of the night, having to learn time management and those friends -- well I met them in study groups. I came to FAU first and foremost to major in mechanical engineering. Football had always been a part of my life and another place that I met friends, a group that has supported and followed my career writing for the FAU student paper or calling the game on WOWL. Mechanical engineering is a difficult major one that is normally a five-year program for the non-athlete. I've spent my five years after walking onto and becoming a starter on the FAU football team, balancing 20 hours of field practice, weight room work and film study. That doesn't count game day and traveling. It is all worth it. I love to push myself and if I don't, my mother, Rosemary, will. She ran track and still thinks she can out run me.
