BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's baseball team will host nationally-ranked University of Miami for the only time this season on Tuesday, April 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the FAU Baseball Stadium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Gates will open one hour prior to first pitch.
In addition to the game, FAU's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will host a community outreach project during the game, collecting items for the Tri-County Humane Society at the gate.
"We are very excited to host our outreach project during one of the most attended games in the FAU baseball season," said Jessica Knurick, president of SAAC. "We will be collecting items such as food, toys, paper towels, cleaning supplies, dog and cat beds/blankets, and dog shampoo. Please be sure to look for us at the entrance on your way into the stadium and help to support our local animal shelters."
SAAC is a student-athlete group made up of 35 members committed to community outreach and enhancing the collegiate student-athlete experience at FAU.
