FAU Baseball head coach John McCormack and radio broadcaster Jared Smith recap the Owls series victory over Cincinnati over the weekend and preview the upcoming weekend for FAU as they travel to Auburn for a three-game tournament.
The Owls will make their first road trip of the season as they take on Missouri on Friday, Boston College on Saturday then finally Auburn on Sunday. To follow along with the tournament, click here.
FAU won its opening series of the season by taking two-of-three games frin Cincinnati over the weekend. Mike Gipson and Kevin Alexander each turned in shutout performances on the mound to earn the victories on Saturday and Sunday. Gipson pitched seven shutout innings on Saturday in a 3-0 FAU win followed up by Alexander's six shutout innings on Sunday in his first collegiate start to help the Owls roll to a 9-0 victory.

FAU's next home series will come on March 5-7 against Boston College. The next edition of the FAU Baseball Insider will be released prior to the start of that series.
