BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team wrapped up the week's practice in preparation for Saturday's game versus the University of Texas. Saturday's game is scheduled to air on Fox Sports Florida (south Florida only).
Thursday began with pat-and-go drills and then moved into the bulk of practice, which was situations. As they moved through situations, it was no surprise that Alfred Morris' number was call and he scored. DeAndre Richardson also had a scoring reception. The most exciting play of the day was when both Byron Hankerson and Tarvoris Hill went up and came down with the ball in the end zone. Hankerson walked a way with the ball at plays end. From the defensive side of the ball the day's highlight was Tavious Polo's interception mid-way through the two-minute drill.
Like each game-week, Thursday's practice's final session was PAT's and field goals. Ross Gornall was perfect throughout the session and ended practice with a long field goal that bounced off the inside of the right goal post for the score. Making it more special was that the kick was through the adjusted more narrow goal post.
