Florida Atlantic University's football team entered its Tuesday's practice riding a three-game win streak. The Owls will take a 4-5 record into Austin, TX this Saturday when they face the University of Texas.
Tuesday's practice, the first of the week, began with kick and kick-coverage. The Owls then moved into individual work and installing the run and run defense. Seven-on-seven followed as did 50 minutes of team work where they concentrated on situations.
On the defensive field, Derek King grabbed a batted ball for the interception and Chris Jackson had a big catch for the offensive scout team. On the offensive field, Jeff Van Camp had a long run as did Xavier Stinson. Damian Fortner made repeated trips to the end zone and Avery Holley had a catch and score.
The day ended with PAT and field goal work allowing kicker Ross Gornall to finish the day with a long field goal.

FAU's football game versus Texas will air in the South Florida television market by Fox Sports Florida starting at 3:30 p.m. The game will be produced in high definition as part of the Big XII package by Fox Sports Southwest.
