Final Football Scrimmage Scripted

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team took to the field early Saturday under the threat of weather.
The team, dressed with no shoulder pads, began the scrimmage fully scripted including the coin toss which saw Rusty Smith represent the offense and Edward Bradwell the defense.
The Owls began their third scrimmage with a kick-off and then began going through scripted plays with predetermined downs and distances. The team even practiced the cheer following a change of possession.
The shortened day ended with lightening and rain. FAU will be back on the practice field Sunday and will take Monday off. All practices are free and open to the public.
Notes:
Boca Raton area "Watch Parties" for the first two games (Nebraska and South Carolina) has been set for the Deerfield Duffy's.
Coach Howard Schnellenberger also appeared on CBS4 showcasing college football and hosted by Kim BoKamper, Saturday night.
