BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University football team went through its paces for the first time this spring in full pads today.
The Saturday practice saw the Owls' quarterbacks share time and work with four new first-teamers on the offensive line. Offensive lineman Carl Spitale impressed, using his size to displace the opposing D-line.
Josh Savidge anchored a new-look defensive line while the linebackers also worked with three new potential starters.
FAU will continue with spring drills Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week, all beginning at 3:30 p.m. The spring's first scrimmage is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4.
Tickets for the 2009 season, a season where the Owls open with Nebraska, are now on sale. For more information call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
