BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team continued to prepare for its homecoming contest against Middle Tennessee State scheduled to kick-off 4 p.m. Saturday. Everyone on the two-deep roster was dressed for Thursday's workout and is scheduled to play.
Thursday's practice, without pads, began with individual work. Both the offense and defense worked on the short game and then moved into situations. Rusty Smith hit a diving Cortez Gent for a long gain and Avery Holley hauled in one during the two minute drill. FAU concluded practice with PAT and field goal work.
The third annual homecoming parade began shortly after practice with several players participating. Thursday evening is the weekly FAUSportspage Radio Show and Happy Hour at Miller's Ale House. Friday morning begins with Coach's Breakfast and will conclude with the fourth annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony where former football standouts Jared Allen and Chris Laskowski will inducted.
FAU will return to the field 3:30 p.m., Friday for its final walk through. All practices are free and open to the public.
