Football Begins Homecoming Prep Week

BCOA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team returned to the practice field Tuesday to begin field preparation for its homecoming game versus Middle Tennessee State University, scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Lockhart Stadium.
The week began with accolades and acknowledgements for a team that ranks high nationally in punt defense as well as individuals like Alfred Morris who is No. 8 in average rushing yards per game with 117.5.
Practice began with punt and punt coverage. The offense and defense moved to separate fields where the offense concentrated on individual drills and then installed the run and passing schemes. The defense worked on the inside drill and on 7-on-7. Both finished with team drills and the day wrapped up with field goal work.
"We probably had the Tuesday practice that we have had," said Howard Schnellenberger FAU's head coach.
FAU will return to the field 3:30 p.m., Wednesday. All practices are free and open to the public.

Homecoming Parade scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday
Trunk-or-Treat
Join the Owls October 31 when FAU plays host to Middle Tennessee and Homecoming. It's also an opportunity to "Trunk-or-Treat". Decorate your car, wear a costume and celebrate Halloween at Lockhart Stadium. Kids under 12 in costume receive free admission. An FAU prize package will be given for the best costume and best decorated car. Enjoy the live band and the kids' interactive area.
Bus Trip to FIU
Owl Club members Jim and Leigh Slowiak are organizing bus transportation to the FAU football game at FIU 7 p.m., December 5. This is an open invitation for any FAU football fan. The price for transportation, and soft drinks or water is just $20. The buses will arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the "Bring Your Own" tailgate extravaganza.
