BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team practiced for the fifth time this fall and the second consecutive day at the FAU Track and Field Complex. Today marked the first day that players wore full pads.
The offensive line returns four of five starters from last season and all the lineman have remained competitive and established good depth. Seniors Nick Paris, John Rizzo and sophomore Lavoris Williams had a good first week. Senior free safety Carldayle Brantley is solidifying himself as a top candidate to fill one of the four openings on defense created by graduation.
The Owls will conduct their first three a day practice of the fall tomorrow. The first practice will be at 8:00 a.m.-9:15 a.m., the second 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and the final practice from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
