BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team completed the second day of spring practice with enthusiasm shown by the offensive line leading the way singing and running from station-to-station.
Practice began with unit drills and moved into team. Quarterbacks Rusty Smith and Jeff VanKamp worked under center with both completing passes with ease. Tight end Rob Housler was the first to grab a long receptions with Wilfred River and Chris Bonner each hauling in a pass.
The Owls then moved into seven-on-seven and concluded the day by reviewing position-by-position mistakes.
FAU will return to the Tom Oxley Practice Fields Saturday at 2 p.m. The squad is expected to don shoulder pads on Monday and will practice Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week with the spring's first scrimmage scheduled for Saturday. Practices and scrimmages are free and open to the public.
