FAU Falls to Blue Raiders

MURFREESBORO, TN - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team lost to Middle Tennessee State in three sets (14-25, 15-25, 24-26) on Saturday night.
The Owls fell behind early on in the first set and could not recover as the Blue Raiders won 25-14. An Anne Vaughan kill and a Kala Abdell solo block gave pulled FAU to within one point, 8-7 early on in the second set. MTSU seized control with a 6-0 run to on its way to a 25-15 set two victory.
The third set was a back and forth affair, with the two teams traded points for the first half of the set. A Kristyna Dzmuranova kill tied the set at 13. MTSU responded with a 7-2 run to take a 20-15 lead. The Owls recovered to tie the set at 24, but the Blue Raiders took the next two points to clinch the match.
FAU returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Coral Gables to take on the University of Miami. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
