Saturday Interviews with Coach Schnellenberger and Players
Coach Schnellenberger
This of course is a very important game for us, as they all were last year in our run towards the championship of the Sun Belt conference. We're in a playoff situation against Troy. In all likelihood, the Sun Belt champion will have them all. If there's nobody there to win them all then you have to win all but one, and that's the situation that we had last year.
I'm concerned about the health of the offensive line. It looks like Nick Paris will be able to play some, it looks like John Rizzo will be able to play some. (Kevin) Miller is improving, and David Matlock is playing with an injury that continues to nag him. That's most of offensive line so we've got to pray that it all holds up and that we can put enough points on the board to win.
It will be a high-scoring game as it was a year ago. It'll take 25 points or so to win the ballgame and we've got to be able to produce that many points.
But all in all, the team is in good spirits, they've practiced hard this week and we look forward to the upcoming game.
Brandon Jackson
Pretty Familiar with this team?
Troy has been pretty consistent. Every time I've played them I know what to expect. Every play they come off the ball, they'll play every down. They're not going to back down even though they've already beaten Middle Tennessee they're going to come in and try to steal a win from us. And we can't let that happen.
Added incentive
This year they could ruin our season, they could turn the tables on us. But we're going to be preparing hard to try to make sure that doesn't happen. It should be a good game on Tuesday. It won't be a blowout one way or another.
Seniors Motivating
It's been a rough time coming in with four losses. But the seniors are trying to tighten up. Because we know this is our last time around, and we don't want to go out badly. We're just trying to keep everybody's head on the same plane and keep them focused because we still have a chance to win this.

Defense had good carryover
It's definitely been a tough loss to get over. But just like with a good win you have to get over it, you have to get over a bad loss just as quickly. And it all starts in practice, we've just got to have good practices.
Looking at Troy
They have great personnel, they have a great quarterback, great receivers, and a very explosive running back. It's nothing new, Troy always seems to bring a good team to the table.
The Florida Atlantic University football team began full preparations on Friday outside the Tom Oxley Athletic Center for Tuesday nights contest against the Troy Trojans.
Both the offensive and defensive units worked against the scout teams in team drills. The Owl D looked to tighten up the tackling against the spread offense the Trojans will employ. Daniel Joseph took snaps with the first unit along with Julian Myers on the other side of the line.
The offense went over their multiple situations during the team workout. Nick Paris returned to center to snap the ball to Rusty Smith on offense. The focus was primarily on the pass as Chris Bonner and Cortez Gent took a number of reps, as did Lester Jean and Conshario Johnson.
