After competing in three events at the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand, former Florida Atlantic University swimmer Ellie Weberg has three top-six finishes. On Monday, the Bloomington, MN native was part of the record breaking 400m medley relay team which set a Games record during the prelims. The U.S. team finished with a second-place finish in the finals with a time of 4:03.96.
Weberg swam two individual events before earning a spot on the relay. She finished fifth in the 50m breaststroke with a time of 32.09. In the 200m breaststroke she was the only American to advance to the finals and finished sixth in 2:27.71.
On Tuesday she will close out the Games in the 100m breaststroke.
