BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University football team used its second practice of the week to continue its to work on skills and to prepare for its next scrimmage, scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Several players returned to the depleted roster including the 2006 Defensive MVP Kris Bartels. While Bartels returned to the defensive backfield, it was redshirt freshman Tavious Polo who had the day's biggest interception in the one-on-one drills. Willie Rose also looked strong breaking free for a run late in the drill.
The spring's second scrimmage is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday on the Tom Oxley Fields. The "Spring Game" is scheduled for 2 p.m., April 21. It will be played at the new track complex and will feature food, interactive areas as well as the cheer team. All practices are free and open to the public.
The Owls will finalize Saturday's game plan at Friday's 3:30 p.m. practice.
