Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University Football held its third practice of the week on Wednesday. With the Kansas State game only three days away, the Owls were working on all cylinders.
In the inside drill, Vinnie Henderson bottled up a hole created on the right side. Willie Floyd had a big run, breaking toward the right sideline for 10-yards. Willie Rose also played tough, muscling his way through the middle of the line-of-scrimmage for a short gain.
During the seven-on-sevens, the offense stepped up their production. Rusty Smith found Rob Housler between three defenders for 12-yards. Sean Clayton connected with Aaron Sanchez at the right flat for a 10-yard pick-up. On defense, Andre Clark got in front of a pass and nearly picked it off.
In the 11-on-11's, B.J. Manley rolled to the outside for seven yards on a toss. Clayton aired a 20-yard pass to Frantz Simeon over the middle of the field. Rickey Bethel stood out defensively, making several big hits on receivers.
Practice is back in action Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
