Boca Raton, FL - On Tuesday afternoon, Florida Atlantic University Football was back on the practice field. They have begun preparation for their first conference match-up against Louisiana-Monroe (1-2).
"The first four games we were underdogs, "said wide receiver Casey McGahee. "Hopefully, this week we play a team that's on our level and can come out with a win."
In the beginning of the session punt and covers took the early focus. Defensive players participated in various drills that included scoop reach, agility tackling, and switch blocking.
Later in the inside drill, Charles Pierre took a give to the outside and ran it for 15-yards. Aaron Sanchez also played strong, barreling through the middle of the line of scrimmage for a 10-yard pick-up.
In the one-on-one receiver drill, Conshario Johnson made a 20-yard reception on a bomb down the right sideline. Rickey Bethel played stifling defense, batting down several attempted passes.
Practice resumes Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
