BOCA RATON, FL -- Fundamentals were the name of the game for Florida Atlantic University's football team on Wednesday.
The half-pads workout served as the middle session of week three allowing the team to walk through some building blocks to work from heading into next season's fall practices.
The team also got a look at a few specialty situations, like the two-minute drill and the kicking game.
The defense thrived in the two-minute drill, picking off three passes in the four attempts, continuing the strong performances for the unit over the past seven days.
The Owls will conclude the third and final week of spring practice on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Saturday will mark the official close of spring practice, with the annual Spring Game. The game is scheduled for Saturday at the Tom Oxley Athletic Fields at 2 p.m. Admission is free to the public, and the athletic department will also host a children's interactive area, have a merchandise booth open, and have sales representatives on hand to take 2006 season-ticket orders. The first 400 students to the event will receive a free t-shirt.
