Thompson and Harvath Head to Zone Diving Meet

Two Florida Atlantic University divers will compete in the NCAA Zone Diving Meet this weekend at the University of Kentucky. Lisa Thompson and Lauren Harvath will both compete for the chance to advance to the NCAA Championship meet on March 16-18 in Athens, GA.
By posting a score of 267.38 on the one-meter board at the University of North Florida, Lisa Thompson punched her ticket to the zone meet. The sophomore placed third at the Sun Belt Championships with a score of 234.30 in the event.
Freshman Lauren Harvath, who has rewritten the FAU record books, scored a 292.90 on the three-meter board at the Georgia Tech Invite to break the school record and become eligible for the zone meet. She also holds the school record in the one-meter. At the University of North Florida she scored 267.38 to break become the new record holder.
The Zone Qualifying Meet will take place March 10-12 at the University of Kentucky. The women's one-meter event will take place on Friday followed by the three-meter on Saturday and platform on Sunday.
