FAU Earns Three Performer of the Week Honors

By winning the FAU Winter Invite on Friday, both of Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's swim teams picked up Sun Belt Conference Performer-of-the-Week honors. Eren Onurlu, Bianca Murphy and Lauren Harvath all led the Owls in their events.
Onurlu won both the 50 and 100-freesytle events with season-best times. He posted times of 21.81 in the 50 free and 47.72 in the 100 free.
Murphy added to the Owls wins in the sprint freestyle events with wins in the 100 and 200 free with times of 53.64 and 1:56.41, respectively. Murphy holds the 5th fastest time in the Sun Belt in the 100 free which she set on Nov. 12.
In the 1-meter diving event, Lauren Harvath took seventh place with a score of 202.45. The freshman holds the FAU record in the both the 1 and 3-meter events and has qualified for the Diving Zones.
The teams will next compete at Florida State on Jan. 21 and at Miami on Jan. 28 before heading to the Sun Belt Championships on Feb. 16-18 in Denver, CO.
